A private Cotswolds estate for your hen weekend.
A whole estate to yourselves, room for up to sixteen, no neighbours to apologise to, and the best of the southern Cotswolds within minutes. Days of vineyard tastings, padel and paddleboards; evenings by the fire or round the barbecue.
The house
Everything the weekend needs, behind one gate.
Sleeps sixteen
Six bedrooms with nine beds and three and a half bathrooms, and the whole house is yours.
A pool heated all year
Private and heated, open until 18:00 from September to March and 22:00 in summer, with a full-size tennis court beside it.
Sauna, gym and a proper bar
An indoor sauna for the afternoon and a fully fitted bar that closes when you decide.
One table, one chef
A full kitchen, an indoor fireplace and dining for twelve to sixteen, ideal for a private chef night.
Seven private acres
Garden, barbecue and free parking for the whole group.
Music welcome
There are no neighbours to disturb.
On your doorstep
Plenty to do, none of it far.
Padel, minutes away
Tetbury Padel is very close by: two indoor courts, open 7am to 10pm, racket hire, and private tournaments for groups. Bride versus bridesmaids round-robin, anyone?
English sparkling
Larkhill Vineyard on the edge of Tetbury offers tours and tastings. Woodchester Valley near Stroud (about 25 min) runs pre-booked tours with a tutored tasting all year, from £30 a head, and private tours for groups of eight or more. Bow in the Cloud near Malmesbury welcomes visits by appointment.
Spa days
Calcot Spa (about 10 min) has an indoor pool and a fireside outdoor hot tub. Whatley Manor near Malmesbury, and Thermae Bath Spa’s rooftop pool (about 40 min), are also within reach.
Cotswold Water Park
About 20 minutes. Cotswold Country Park & Beach has AquaVenture (summer season), a 33-obstacle inflatable assault course on the lake, plus swimming, kayaking and paddleboarding. Groups of 20 or more can ask about discounts.
Polo and glamour
Beaufort Polo Club, beside Westonbirt, offers polo experiences with tuition and lunch, and summer match days made for a hen afternoon.
Clay shooting
Burleigh Court near Minchinhampton runs clay experiences, or mobile clay operators can come to you.
Gentler days
Highgrove Gardens tours with champagne or afternoon tea, Westonbirt Arboretum, and Tetbury’s antique shops and boutiques.
Nights out
Tetbury is a walk across the fields. Cirencester is about 20 minutes, Bath about 40 and Cheltenham about 45.
