Before anyone else is up
GymA private gym in the grounds, kitted for a real session rather than a token one. Nobody is waiting for the machine you are on, because nobody else is here.
The amenities, arranged the way you will actually meet them — from the first swim to the last drink. No tee times, no queue for the court, no closing hour.
The order of the day
A private gym in the grounds, kitted for a real session rather than a token one. Nobody is waiting for the machine you are on, because nobody else is here.
The pool is heated all year, not just through the summer, so an early length happens in February as readily as in July. It sits away from the house, facing open fields.
A full-size private court, with rackets and balls kept in the pavilion. It stays yours all week, which means the argument about who plays next is entirely your own.
Sauna, hot shower, cold air, a bench outside. The Cotswold weather makes this better in February than in July, and it is the one part of the house nobody has to be persuaded to try.
A proper bar in the house — glassware, ice, and room behind it for whoever has appointed themselves. Bring what you like; a chef can be arranged for the nights you would rather not cook.
None of it needs booking, and none of it needs organising. Somebody lives here to see to that.
The detail
Private chef for one night or every night, in-house massage, airport and station transfers, court coaching, grocery pre-stock, and a nanny for the evenings you would like off. Because a manager lives on site, arranging any of it mid-stay is a conversation rather than a booking form.
